Boy, oh, boy, I’ve heard it a million times…
People practically wear their poor sleep like a badge of honor!
They’ll look you straight in the face and say, “I’ll sleep when I’m dead!”
Well, guess what, friend? Keep ignoring your sack time, and that death is coming a lot sooner than you planned.
In fact, a new study has found that poor sleep may be turning your arteries into CEMENT!
I’m not kidding…
Specifically, they found that a lack of adequate sleep can increase your risk of artery-hardening atherosclerosis by a whopping 27 percent.
Next stop high blood pressure, heart disease… even heart failure!
So here’s the million-dollar question. What exactly is “adequate sleep?”
Well, it’s probably more than you’re getting…
By “adequate sleep,” I don’t mean the commonly lauded 6 hours of heroic sleep. No, that STILL isn’t enough. I mean 7-8 hours of UNINTERRUPTED slumber.
And don’t say to yourself that you can’t possibly fit this into your schedule. You have to MAKE the time to be healthy… ALWAYS.
Maybe you’re like lots of folks and have trouble getting shuteye.
Don’t worry. Ol’ Jack is going to help you out.
- Eliminate ALL artificial light at night (at least one hour before you hit the hay). This artificial “blue light” actually screws up your circadian rhythm -- your body’s natural sleep mechanism.
- Supplement with nutrients or compounds that naturally boost your body’s sleep processes, like L-theanine and melatonin. L-theanine helps you relax and melatonin tells your body it’s time to sleep. Unfortunately, your melatonin levels take a big dip as you age.
You have to make these things a habit and stick with them.
And if you’re still having trouble sleeping… and are exhausted in the morning… get yourself tested for conditions like sleep apnea.
I’m not kidding when I say your life may depend on it.
