The protection is so strong that Big Pharma has been desperately trying for years to create a drug that mimics the protective effects nicotine has on the brain, without actually using tobacco.
All this fiddling around in the lab isn’t about isolating the healthy compounds in tobacco. It’s about turning natural nicotine into a synthetic compound they can patent and sell at a huge markup.
