Dear Friend,

Diabetes has become an epidemic in America--calling it tragic would be a gross understatement. It's bad enough when adults develop this avoidable disease, but what's happening to our children? Ten or so years ago, it was almost unheard of for a child to develop type 2 diabetes, but now well, now kids as young as 5 years old (and probably younger, too) are being diagnosed.

It would be easy to chalk it up to diet and poor nutrition--and obviously they play a role, but not in the way The Establishment would have you believe. They're blaming high-fat foods and sedentary lifestyles, and they tell you that the only way for you to survive is to "eat your fruits and vegetables, and exercise, exercise, exercise." Well, I can assure you that none of these five things will solve your problem. Neither will avoiding fatty foods, fried foods, GMO Frankenfoods, raw milk, or raw almonds.

But there's a hidden killer that's part and parcel to this diabetes epidemic. It's called chlorine. Chlorine is the major killer in modern society, exceeding the lethality of war, pestilence, junk food, and television combined. I would estimate that chlorine disease is unknown to 95 percent of the people. It's about as well understood as Rep. Ron Paul, the only well-qualified candidate running for president. (OK, OK, I've introduced politics into the discussion. If you don't like it, just cross out that last sentence.)

Yet, chlorine is at the root of the growing diabetes epidemic.

The surprising link between chlorine and diabetes

I know you're aware of the dangers of this toxic chemical. (I covered it in detail back in November.) But what you probably haven't heard is how exposure to chlorine can result in diabetes. Prepare to be shocked.

When a person has diabetes, his pancreas can no longer control his body's blood sugar levels. But did you ever stop to think about the factors that could cause the breakdown in the first place? Yes, weight plays a role--as does processed sugar--but there's a lot more to it. Outside factors, such as antibiotics, food preservatives, and chlorine, reduce your ability to absorb food properly. And when it comes to chlorine, it attacks your body on two fronts: your intestines and your pancreas.

Chlorine interferes with the activity of the mineral zinc, and that poses a major problem for your pancreas--and ultimately your blood sugar. Here's why: Zinc helps your body produce beta cells. Beta cells in the pancreas produce insulin, which helps to maintain healthy blood sugar levels. But chlorine produces a powerful oxidizing agent called alloxan. Alloxan interferes with the activity of the mineral zinc, plus it causes the beta cells in the pancreas to malfunction and die.

So basically, not only does the alloxan formed by chlorine destroy the existing beta cells, it also inhibits your body from producing new ones. Can you see how that could be a problem?

Meanwhile, your intestines are having some troubles of their own. There are bacteria in your intestines that help to break down protein so that your body can absorb it. Chlorine kills off these friendly bacteria. As a result, your intestines become clogged, your body doesn't break down and absorb protein the way it should, and you start to crave sugar in order to get energy.

Of course, the sugar gets into your bloodstream too quickly, which means you'll need more and more in order to maintain your energy levels. In the meantime, your pancreas is working overtime--and eventually it just gives up.

The chlorine accomplice that's killing our children

As I said before, type 2 diabetes is now popping up in children as young as 5 years old--a dramatic and unheard of phenomenon that has occurred in less than 20 years.

Chlorine saturation has been with us for the better part of 100 years, so my question is: What's changed in the last 20 years? The answer boils down to this: DIET. Yes, chlorine is the major factor, but it requires a cofactor (or a triggering mechanism) to start the degeneration to diabetes (as well as heart disease and cancer). The two most likely triggers for the "chlorine disease" are the typical Western diet--overloaded with excessive sugar, lab-produced sugar substitutes, starch, overcooked food--and massive immunization.

There is only one doctor I know of who has spoken out on this major threat to your health. His name is Dr. Joseph M. Price. He is a Vietnam veteran who witnessed first-hand the destructive power of chlorine on our troops in that tragic war.

Dr. Price came home with a mission. He set out to prove that chlorine was a major cause of death and disease among our troops. He chose chickens for his research because chicken arteries are very similar to human arteries. His results confirmed his suspicions, but modern political medicine, chemically driven, was not impressed.

Would it be inappropriate to discuss anthrax vaccine poisoning here? Not really, because chlorine poisoning is part and parcel of the disease complex. If you combine massive chlorine intoxication with anthrax vaccination, you have a situation at least as lethal as the Vietnam tragedy and probably much worse.

Dr. Price's book, Coronaries/Cholesterol/Chlorine, is difficult to find, so much so that I've asked Dr. Price's permission to reprint it with a forward by me. I'm pleased to announce that he has given permission for the reprint, and I'll get it out ASAP. I'll keep you posted on our progress.

3 steps to avoiding chlorine's damage to your pancreas

Whether you have diabetes yet or not, chances are your pancreas and intestines aren't functioning at peak performance. But there are steps you can take to improve the problem--and your quality of life.

1. Remove chlorine from your environment--that means from both your drinking water and your shower water. I recommend the ShowerSafe filter from Dr. Roy Speiser. Each filter costs $69.

You also need to get a filter for your tap water. The best one is the Doulton ceramic filter with a fluoride-removing upgrade. These filters remove a wide range of harmful contaminants in your water--including chlorine, fluoride, parasites, and more. You can get a single ceramic filter model, which costs $179--but if I were you, I'd get Dr. Speiser's special combination model, which comes with the ceramic plus fluoride-removing upgrade filter. It's $289--and worth every penny. To order any of these filters, call (800)444-3563 and use the order code AG408.

2. Cut out all processed sugar from your diet--whether you're diabetic or not. There are plenty of natural ways to satisfy your sweet tooth. You could start with stevia or Lo Han, two intensely sweet herbal concentrates that you can add to just about anything.

3. Increase the healthy bacteria in your intestines. Chlorine kills off the friendly bacteria, but you can replace them by loading up on probiotics. They'll help you with a host of other digestive problems too, such as bloating, gas, and constipation. A good probiotic will contain millions of live bacteria. Real Advantage Nutrients has a powerful product called Ultimate Digestion Support. It contains three proven probiotics, plus it includes live enzymes and prebiotics as well. To order, call (800)913-2602 or go online to and use the code "DIGEST."

You may be wondering if you can get your fill of probiotics simply by eating a cup of yogurt. No, no, no. I don't care what those TV ads try to sell you, you're not going to get the good bacteria you need from one of those sugary cups of yogurt. Even if you get a non-sugar-laden version, it won't do you any good. Now that yogurt's pasteurized, it might as well be called "nogurt"--because all of the organisms that made it yogurt in the first place have been killed off in the process. Sure, the manufacturers might artificially add some of the Bacillus bulgaricus back into the nogurt, but don't be fooled into thinking it's the same thing.

So, to recap: I have led you from diabetes, to chlorine intoxication, to illnesses caused by the anthrax vaccine, and back to diabetes. I hope you have enjoyed the trip. This interrelatedness is what holistic medicine is all about.
