The weapon of mass destruction you're exposed to every day: Eliminate your risk

There's a new set of criminal masterminds in full retreat, revealing what total frauds they are. They're like Saddam's Republican Guard --nothing but paper tigers. But these villains are even worse, since they're responsible for ruining the lives of millions of innocent people worldwide. Yet, in their sparkling and awesome arrogance, they'll never give up their weapon of mass destruction: fluoride.

After 41 years of poisoning its citizens with fluoro-toxic water, one European city--Basel, Switzerland--saw the light and finally banned fluoride from its water supply. The people of Basel were told, just like we were, that fluoride was the be-all, end-all for dental health and that it would save us all, rich and poor alike, from the horrors of a mouthful of cavities. But when they saw the results of a recent Swiss government study, the people of Basel realized they'd been had: According to the report, children's cavity rates actually increased from 1996-2001. On the advice of their government's Health and Social Commission, Basel, the only Swiss city adding fluoride to water, gave up the ghost and flushed fluoride in April 2003.

Here's the revealing story of fluoridation in the rest of Europe:

Despite being 98 percent fluoridation-free, Europe's cavity rates declined during the period between 1996 and 2001, when Basel was busily poisoning itself.

You've been tricked into drinking rat poison

Back in the USA, how are we doing? Let's go back a few years and then I'll give you an update. As I mentioned a few months ago in my Daily Dose e-mail service (5/6/03, subject line: "The tinseltown fluoride fiasco"), fluoride was classified as toxic waste in this country for years. Not too long ago, its only approved uses were as an insecticide and a rat poison. And one of the first major studies "proving" a correlation between fluoridated water and fewer cavities was actually funded by the aluminum industry (fluoride is a byproduct of aluminum production)!

Twenty years ago, when they caught on to all of this, Levittown, New York, stopped 29 years of water fluoridation. The New York Daily News editorialized that Levittown citizens' teeth would rot and fall out.

Here's the real irony, though: Fluoride may not even be good for your teeth!

A "good deed" gone bad

Now, cities like New York, proud of their high quality dentistry as well as their medicine, find that despite drinking and cooking with fluoridated water at home and in restaurants for the past 40 years, their teeth are still falling out.

In one of the biggest studies ever undertaken on the subject (using data from 39,000 school children in 84 metropolitan areas around the U.S.), there was no statistically significant difference in rates of tooth decay between fluoridated and non-fluoridated water supplies.

And that "good deed" the pro-fluoride people thought they were doing--giving poor people access to dental care by fluoridating the municipal water supplies--turned out to make things worse for those who can't afford regular (or even irregular) trips to the dentist: In his book Savage Inequalities, Jonathan Kozol reports that for underprivileged New York City children, "bleeding gums, impacted teeth, and rotting teeth are routine mattersI have seen children with teeth that look like brownish, broken sticks. I have seen teenagers who were missing half their teeth"

So what about all of those warnings meant to scare us into a terror-induced, pro-fluoride stupor? I tried to contact the editor at the New York Daily News responsible for those dour predictions concerning Levittown to see what he has to say now. He wasn't available--probably at the dentist.

Fluoride promoters roll over and play dead

So now that the fluoride fanatics have let it slip that their guns are empty and their gums are pale, their only hope of continuing, at least a little longer, is to lay low. They're so demoralized at this point that they won't debate the fluoridation issue and have even refused to give lectures at the upcoming U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Science Forum.

Paul Beeber, president of the New York State Coalition Opposed to Fluoridation, said: "It's embarrassing for government officials who promote fluoridation to admit it is ineffective, thereby, risking their jobs and credibility."

Risking their jobs? How about a 20-year jail sentence for second-degree murder? They should be sentenced to drink a gallon of fluoridated water a day until their teeth fall out or they die from fluoride-induced heart disease.

They might be lying low for now, and they may have lost their latest battle in Basel, Switzerland. But the war is far from over.

Actions to take:

Fluoride doesn't prevent cavities. But it can prevent some other things--like a long, healthy life. I've seen evidence linking cancer, osteoporosis, and even Alzheimer's disease to fluoride ingestion.

If the American government doesn't have the cojones to see justice done in a direct manner (and it doesn't seem to, except to punish doctors and dentists who oppose fluoridation) then we need to take matters into our own hands.

I'll keep you updated on the mounting evidence against fluoride as it emerges via my Daily Dose e-mail service. If you aren't already receiving these free updates, sign up by visiting

In the meantime:

(1) Stop your enemy water department at the entrance to your house. Buy a filter system that will remove fluoride from your life. Or, if feasible, dig your own well and tell the engineers and bureaucrats at the water commissariat you're free of them--and better off because of it.

(2) Once you've taken steps to protect yourself and your family, contact the Fluoride Action Network ( to find out more about how you can participate in the anti-fluoride campaigns in your state.

(3) But if we really want to get serious about the fluoride disaster, we should all band together and institute 50,000 (at least) class action suits worldwide against the fluoro-miscreants--dentists, companies that sell the fluorotoxin to water companies, manufacturers of fluoridated toothpaste, municipal water companies, the American Dental Association, and the American Medical Association.

It might seem drastic, but so does poisoning a planet full of people for decades. It's high time we fought back, and we need to hit them the only place they'll really feel it: their back pockets. RH
